Esther’s adventure and the Erasmus project in eiTRAVEL
Today we officially end an adventure we started a few months ago. Our Esther, in fact, has finished the job with us that she had started thanks to the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs project. eiTRAVEL, in fact, is one of the companies enrolled in the platform of the European community to host young people who want to pursue a career in business, to give help and explore what are the basics of the trade.
With Esther we have faced a path that has allowed us to grow together and that has left a trace both in our company but, above all, in our hearts. In a message released to the press, the young entrepreneur said: “I highly recommend participating in these experiences, because they can enrich you in every aspect, acquiring skills, professionalism and creating a network of relationships that is essential for those who, like me, are starting a business, not only from a technical point of view, but also from a personal one: here, in fact, I had the opportunity to make new friends, to be welcomed in a positive way and to become an active member of the community. The latter also involved me in more traditional activities, such as chestnut picking or grape harvesting. All of this has made me grow both as a professional but, more importantly, as a person.”
And this is precisely the model of human and sustainable development that we have in mind.
Esther’s project, to go into more detail, focused on several steps divided as follows: in the first two months she was involved in the study of the 118 municipalities that make up Irpinia, using search software and databases and researching all the accommodations within them, also contacting the town halls and setting up meetings to find all the tourist potential of the various places; in the third month she began to create a synergy between Spanish tourist agencies and our company, going to strengthen the tourist exchange between her country and the inland areas of Campania; in the fourth and final month she focused on further improving the Italian language, she studied and evaluated business plans for Spaniards who want to come and visit Irpinia, with a particular eye to eco-tourism.
The last period, also due to the problems caused by the pandemic, the work was carried out remotely, with our Esther who returned home.
What remains for us, in addition to the technical background, is the awareness that only openness can make us grow, with internationalization becoming more and more a necessary feature of the companies in the Province of Avellino. We are aware that this path is long, but we have the certainty that we have already started on the right foot and we hope that other businesses will decide, as we did, to join this project of cultural exchange.
Finally, there is only one thing left to say: thank you very much Esther, for everything you have done and for everything you have given us. We grew up together and these experiences will always remain in our souls and thanks also to Luigi Santapaga, CEO of “Forma Mentis” and his team, for the role of intermediary between us and the European Commission, giving a big hand in organizing everything.
Have a nice journey…
