There is a village, perched on a hill, which seems to have been planted on a meteorite. It is called Cairano and it is an organic village; today it has less than 300 inhabitants. Vinicio Capossela dedicated a book and a film to him, “Il Paese dei coppoloni”. In the ancient small village of Cairano, time seems to have stopped. An oasis of peace and home of the famous choreographer Franco Dragone (Cirque de Soleil). Here you can meditate in perfect silence, climbing through alleys in a path that could be defined as healing; high up, on windy days, a pipe organ, unique in the world, plays. From here you can enjoy a broad view of the Ofanto valley and on the chain
Apennine of the Picentini Mountains.
